“We care about the environment and the impact waste has on it,” says Cynthia Richards, Facility Environmental Management’s Sales and Marketing Director. “We want to make a difference by decreasing waste and increasing resources.”
To that end, says Richards, the company began researching green certification programs. After researching the best way to go green, she says, the company found the GBB was the best to help it go green, and also a resource to help its clients go green.

Prior to enrolling with the GBB, Facility Environmental Management had implemented a number of green initiatives of its own, including recycling paper, cardboard, plastics, and organics. The company also implements “waste to energy” when available, and has recently initiated a Zero Waste Program.
Moving forward, says Richards, Facility Environmental Management is looking forward not only to less negatively impacting our environment, but also the cost savings and marketing recognition green certification will bring.
