iPeopleFINANCE Strengthens Board With Prudential Executive

Peer-to-Peer Lender Adds Former Prudential Executive To Board Of Directors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 16, 2012 - CARMEL VALLEY, CA -- iPeopleFINANCE, Inc. (iPeople), a leading peer-to-peer lender in the emerging social finance space, announced today that a former Prudential financial services executive has joined their board, and will serve as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Martin Berkowitz has held the positions of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, then President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Veterans Business Development Corporation. He retired as Senior Vice President from Prudential Financial in 2000 following a twenty-five year career where he served as Comptroller of the individual insurance unit, Chief Financial Officer of the investment management business unit, and the Corporate Comptroller. He played a major role in the conversion of Prudential from a mutual insurance company to a public shareholder-owned company. Mr. Berkowitz earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his Master of Business Administration from St. John’s University.

“We are fortunate to have Marty join our startup,” said Steve King, CEO of iPeopleFINANCE. “Not only is he a world class CFO, but his broad experience helps guide our service and product offerings. His enthusiasm for the space also helps to validate the credibility and future of peer-to-peer lending.”

iPeopleFINANCE is the only peer-to-peer lending platform specifically targeted to returning Vets from Iraq and Afghanistan, along with the rapidly growing youth segment of the Gen-Y market.

“We hope to give returning vets a fast start, by offering small, starter loans and seller-financed goods and services,” said Steve King. “Providing financing and a quick way for Vets to build credit is the ultimate in doing good while doing well, and being able to offer some small patriotic gesture at the same time.”
