He is an advisory board member of K Capital Partners LLC, a Boston-based hedge fund and serves on the board of directors of Oxford Automotive, Inc. and Skip Barber Racing School, LLC. Patterson was a managing director of Credit Suisse First Boston from 1994 to 2002, serving as vice chairman from 1998. He managed a variety of investment banking and fixed income activities, with special emphasis on leveraged finance businesses. He also served on CSFB′s Global Operating Committee and on its private equity Investment Committee, growing a merchant banking fund-of fund business to $2.5 billion. Prior to joining CSFB, Patterson had almost 20 years of commercial and investment banking experience at firms such as Bankers Trust, Salomon Brothers and Scully Brothers & Foss L.P. Patterson earned degrees in law and economics at South Africa′s Stellenbosch University. He earned his MBA at New York University, Stern School of Business. End
