Both of these models offer very large display which makes them the phone of choice for consumers looking to use their device for multi media playback and mobile gaming. The Samsung Galaxy Notes sports the larger of the two screens at 5.3 inches, the largest mobile display currently available. This screen size does mean that the phone is very large and many people state that it is verging on tablet territory in terms of size. The Note uses Super AMOLED technology to produce outstanding clarity and this is helped by the excellent 1280 x 800 resolution which helps the model to produce an outstanding pixel density of 285 pixels per inch, a number superior to many smaller screened phones. The Galaxy S3 also uses Super AMOLED technology but on a smaller 4.8 inch display. The resolution on this model is slightly lower but because of the smaller dimensions the pixel density actually creeps up to 306PPI. Despite this enhanced density the both models produce fairly identical results and it is really hard to choose between the two. We do find however that the large screen on the Galaxy Note adds an extra wow factor that is lacking on the S3 and other rival handsets.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S3 are well designed phones but the larger handset offers the slightly more stylish design. It boasts a chassis that is similar in shape to the popular Galaxy S2 and this works very well with the extra screen size and gives the model a futuristic, slab like appearance. The many body is constructed from high quality, lightweight plastics and the textured back panel on the phone not only feels comfortable but also helps the model to look great as it does not show fingerprints as clearly as smoother panels. The Galaxy S3 boasts a slightly more curved design which looks good but also very similar to a number of devices launched by other brands over the last 12 months. One thing we love about this model is the Blue and White finishes that are available which look vibrant and fresh. The Galaxy Note also is available in a White variety.
The Samsung Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S3 are both great handsets but we have to favour the Note in the areas that we have looked at. the large screen on the phone is really hard to beat while the futuristic design combined with the large screen help the handset to look unlike any other phone currently on the market.
