2012 Oriental Beauty Tea now harvested & available soon

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 14, 2012 - 2012 Season’s harvest of Oriental Beauty tea has recently finished in Taiwan and the annual competition for the award winning teas is now underway. First, second & third placed teas will be sold for very high prices & most of Taiwan’s award winning teas are usually pre-ordered & already sold.  Once the competitions are over, later this month, this unique specialty tea will be readily available for ordering. As with most Chinese & Taiwanese teas, there will be various qualities & prices available.  Originally a premium grade oriental Beauty (aka Eastern Beauty, Dong Feng Mei Ren plus many other names) had 5 distinct colors - red, white, yellow, green and brown. Tea leaves which contain a high concentration of white buds are also generally an indication of a good quality Oriental Beauty tea. As one of Oriental Beauty’s peculiarities is it leaves being bitten by a green insect which is accounts for some of its unique characteristics & initiates the oxidation process, the leaf appearance will also show this.
