Texas Fine Artist Angel F. Matamoros to Pay Homage to New Orleans with Abstract Paintings

July 14, 2012 - PRLog -- PLANO, TEXAS—Costa Rica-born Angel F. Matamoros is a fine artist working in the abstract genre. His work is in private and public collections and shown in several galleries across the country.

  Artist Dale Witherow said "Angel's work conveys the energy of his need to paint, with brushwork that demands our attention, and when given, it returns the energy in bold colors that almost make you believe you can hear the music within them."

  The artist’s next project is “Abstract New Orleans.” And it's most ambitious. “My wife took me to New Orleans in 1988 and I’ve been in love with the city ever since. Having spent many years living and working in Louisiana, The best way I know to pay homage to one of the world’s greatest cities is through creating passionate paintings inspired by that city,” he said.
