Plot: Recently seized documents reveal al-Qaida terrorist leader Osama bin Laden planned in 2011 a 9/11 anniversary attack on American soil, using sleeper cells he established 10 years earlier.

This is the premise of S.P. Grogan's international political action thriller, ‘bin Laden’s Revenge: Beyond the Grave, His Last Attack on the United States’ 470 pages.

‘bin Laden’s Revenge’ tells the reader of a third courier, Khalaf, who reported directly from Osama bin Laden to the Supreme Council of al-Qaida, and who was present at the Abbottabad compound the night bin Laden was killed. The courier escaped to activate Crimson Scimitar, a plan designed to lay waste to much of the southwestern United States.

Who can stop Crimson Scimitar and defeat al-Qaida in America? It might be the FBI, CIA or the U.S. military. The heroes could even be the cast of an American reality television show. Or a fired CIA agent, or a SEAL Six Team Member suffering from battlefield stress?
One reviewer called bin Laden’s Revenge ‘The First Epic about the War on Terror.’

On July 14, "bin Laden’s Revenge" will be released initially as an electronic book. Buyers can purchase ‘bin Laden’s Revenge’ on all e-book platforms, including Kindle, Nook, Kobo, IPad/IPhone.
"Fortuitous or ill-timed," author S.P. Grogan said, "In early 2011 I completed a 70,000-word political-action thriller entitled, 'The Capture and Escape of Osama bin Laden.' Guess what happened? May 1st happened and my central character was slain by the U.S. Military.

"One should not throw away a good story line," Grogan said. "I did, however, start immediate revisions, not wanting to lose the reading public's interest. More than ever, the plot is extremely topical as polls say Americans expect bin Laden's supporters to avenge their slain leader.

"I wrote this as, what I call a ‘documentary novel’, a ‘docu-novel’, in that I track historic characters in a timeline that makes the cliff hanging conclusions seem very current and possible," Grogan explained.  "This may be the first novel to incorporate the hunt and killing of Osama bin Laden as the focal point of the plot, but done so in a quirky statement about the media-immersed American culture with a subplot covering the continual obliviousness to the eventuality of a nuclear accident within the U.S.”
Grogan added: “One of the features of ‘bin Laden’s Revenge’ is the reader will view the attack on the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan from the perspective of an al-Qaida terrorist, and perhaps even be sympathetic to Khalaf, who escaped.  A part of the story follows Khalaf on his international travel from Pakistan to Yemen to London to the United States.”
Grogan has always sought innovation in his writing. Two of his previous published thrillers, "Vegas Die" and "Captain Cooked," offered cash prizes for discovering hidden weapons by following clues within the books. "Captain Cooked" won an award for manuscript excellence from the Hawai'i Book Publishers Association, and “Vegas Die” won an award for best regional fiction.
