July 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Denton, TX – On Saturday, July 21, Jack Woodville London will headline the list of presenters at the Lexicon Writers Conference in Denton, Texas - 30 minutes north of D/FW International Airport and Dallas, Texas. The Lexicon Writers Conference seeks to assist, promote, and educate writers in all genres, fiction and non-fiction, and is available for published and unpublished writers. London will speak on “Maps, Mistresses and Machiavelli” – doing historical research.

Saturday, July 21   1:00 p.m.  Highlighted Speaker      Hilton Garden Inn
2:00 p.m.  Signing and Interviews      3110 Colorado Blvd, Denton

Mitch A. Haynes, president of the conference says, “In a world filled with people who think they are writers, only a handful will truly succeed. What separates them from the rest of the crowd…They take advantage of all the available opportunities and resources to promote their work and themselves.”

The first of its kind in Denton, events like this are for writers and authors who want to pitch their work to agents of publishers around the country, but also to rub elbows locally – to find readers who enjoy the same genre, editors who can assist with manuscripts, and to meet people who may just offer encouragement in the field. This conference caters to those who want to meet other writers, agents and editors, hear speakers and access vendors that are ready to impart knowledge and connections, all without the $500+ price tag of attendance.

Mr. London is author of the French Letters series, Virginia’s War and Engaged in War. London’s French Letters series is historical fiction based on life during World War II and its effect on the people at home and on those serving on the front lines of the war in Britain and France. London bases his series on a number of letters between Virginia and Will, weaving an intriguing story around this framework. London’s work is said to be “the greatest literary work since Hemingway.”
