July 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Did you know gorgeous wine country, and a fun and easy wine trail experience, is just minutes from Austin? Three Dripping Springs, Texas, wineries have joined forces to help answer that question. Bell Springs Winery, Solaro Estate Winery, and Westcave Cellars Winery created the Dripping Wine Trail to offer a more intimate wine trail experience, and to let people know that not only are the wineries close to Austin, they're also close to each other.

"We're lucky to have so many fantastic wineries here in the Texas Hill Country, but sometimes the sheer number of options can be overwhelming," said Nate Pruitt, owner and winemaker at Bell Springs Winery. "With the Dripping Wine Trail, you don't need to spend hours in the car driving to wineries, rather, you can spend them tasting wine, enjoying picnics, and listening to live music."

While the Dripping Wine Trail is planning trail events in the coming cool months, the fun and activity at each of the wineries doesn't stop for the summer. All of the wineries are now also open on Monday, each hosts live music virtually every weekend, and each carries on the business of a bustling winery.

"Our wine area is bringing Texas wine to the world stage and all those who visit can be a part of the excitement," said Solaro Estate's Barbara Haderlein.

Dripping Springs, just 13 miles from Southwest Austin on Highway 290, is rapidly developing a reputation as a wine, beer, and spirits destination as Jester King Craft Brewery, Thirsty Planet Brewery, Argus Cidery, Dripping Springs Vodka, and soon-to-arrive Twisted X Brewery also make their home in the Texas Hill Country town.

"Dripping Springs has an amazing community of wineries, breweries, and distilleries, and the Dripping Wine Trail is excited to be a part of it," said Margaret Fetty, owner at Westcave Cellars Winery. "We're in a unique position so close to Austin, but we definitely offer the feel of a special destination."
