Greenhome.com Acquires SeaGlassOrganic.com and offers more green products

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif – July 1, 2012 – Greenhome.com, announced today the acquisition of niche ecommerce website SeaGlassOrganic.com. Founded in 2007, SeaGlassOrganic focused on retailing eco-friendly, green organic products to consumers.  San Francisco-based Green Home is the original online “ecostore,” now carrying thousands of green products for both the green home and green business.

“We are excited to acquire the Sea Glass Organic business,” said Kari Dorth, the head of Greenhome.com’s business operations.  “The products fit well with our product lines, and we believe the Sea Glass Organic customers have the same passion for a better world that we do. We think SeaGlassOrganic.com will add value to our consumer and home products business, which is about 50% revenues.” Added Neal Dikeman, a partner of Jane Capital, the merchant bank behind Greenhome LLC: "Green Home is definitely looking for more acquisitions.  We are planning a major expansion in our business and product lines later this year on the back of a new ecommerce platform we are currently implementing, and selective M&A is a part of that.  While SeaGlassOrganic is focused on our consumer and green home products markets we’re also interested in acquisition for our business markets.  We serve business customers mainly with compostable packaging, office supplies, and green cleaning supplies, with well known customers in hotels, restaurants, salons, parks, zoos, as well as offices, ranging from small business to multinationals.  You’d be surprised the number of brand name business customers who are using Greenhome.com to reduce their environmental footprint.”
