Children go for Gold at Open Day!

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 12, 2012 - Nationwide, the 81 strong nursery chain has been joining in with the countries mounting games fever by watching the torch relays as they pass through and creating sporting inspired artwork and On Saturday a day of interactive fun and learning is planned that will develop children’s understanding and knowledge of the world around them.  As well being able to sample some delicious food and take part in fun and creative activities, Asquith’s own team will be on hand to show you around and answer any queries or questions parents may have about childcare.

Nursery Manager, Becky Webster from Ridegway Day Nursery in Swindon told us, “Everyone is really looking forward to the fun and games this weekend” She added “We are having an obstacle course and sack races with the opportunity to decorate your own shortbread medal.  We are also really excited to have our local torch bearer, Iain Perkins, visiting us too to share his amazing story with us!”  

Richard Money, Sales and Operations Director for Asquith, “The Olympics are a wonderful occasion to promote equality and diversity across different countries. Our Open Day activities focus on the seven key areas of learning for the under five’s including creative development, understanding of the world and physical development”.  He adds, “Recently physical development has been highlighted as a weak area within early years, so our main priority this year has been to invest in our outdoor learning environments to fully meet the needs of the children”

Each Asquith nursery is welcoming everyone to come along to join in the fun between 10.00am and 1.00pm, you may even get your own medal!
