Georgia Revolution Host NPSL Southeast Conference Championship

July 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Conyers, GA- The Georgia Revolution of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) will host Chattanooga Football Club on Friday, July 13 at 8:30 p.m. in the NPSL Southeast Conference championship match.  The Georgia Revolution, in its second year of establishment, clinched the first place title early last week with a 3-1 win over the Atlanta Silverbacks Reserves.  The winner of Friday night’s match will move on to the NPSL National Semi-Finals in San Diego, CA on July 27-29.  

   “We’ve worked really hard this season and last season to get to this point,” says Head Coach John Sprague.  “To take a team this young in its second year to the conference finals is a huge accomplishment for us.”

   “This team has exceeded my expectations in such a short amount of time,” says General Manager Rafe Mauran.  “We started this program to grow the skill level of players in the community while providing affordable family entertainment.  Our young men continue to get better with every game while our fan base continues to grow and enjoy soccer in the community.”

   The championship match will take place at the Rockdale Youth Soccer Association (RYSA) Soccerplex at 1780 Old Salem Road, Conyers.  Tickets for the championship match are $5 at the gate.  Parking at RYSA is $5 per vehicle.  The parking lot will open at 6 p.m. and fans are encouraged to tailgate before the game.
