Bengaluru, Wednesday, July 11, 2012: Innoz, a young and exciting venture on mobile and wireless innovation, is all set to hold a Hackathon, a platform where budding developers get together, discuss and share ideas and aspirations. The event will be a first of a kind experiment to show how innovators can use a SMS platform to develop amazing applications for the masses. Innoz is all geared up to conduct their 55444 Hackathon event at their headquarters in Koramangala, Bengaluru this 14th and 15th of July.

This two-day event seeks to foster a hacking culture and bring together hackers from all walks of life to collectively build meaningful apps. The event promises to have top key-note speakers including Pradeep Rao, Blackberry; Kalyan Varma, Ink Fellow; Zubin Dubash, Onward Mobility; Sean Blagsvedt, babajob.com; and Bharti Jacob, Seedfund addressing the participants and sharing ideas. Also, the developers get a chance to create cool sms apps and win prizes upto 1 Lakh rupees, 2 blackberry mobile phones for BBM connected apps and a lot of goodies for others.

Registrations begin early at 10 am on Saturday, July 14 followed by 36 hours of pure coding joy for the techies. Other than promising top key note addresses, a rock performance by Lagori is also scheduled to happen on first day to add an element of fun and entertainment to the event. Out of the expected 200 participants, 10 of the best apps would be shortlisted and presented to the judges to choose the best four apps that would incorporated into the Innoz Platform.

Speaking about the Hackathon, Deepak Ravindran, Co founder & CEO shared “Through this event, we want to send out the message of fostering hacking culture in the country. We also hope to have had discovered new creations of value for the larger community, as there is so much to do using the 55444 platform.” Deepak was named one of the MIT Technology Review outstanding innovators under 35, for the year 2011. He is also an INK Fellow for 2011 in association with TED and holds a degree in Computer Science from LBS College of Engineering, Kerala, India.
