Prior to joining McCarthy, Stevenson served as CEO of Houston-based W.S. Bellows Construction Corp. Joining Bellows in 1981, Jim began as a project manager, working his way up to vice president and finally CEO in 2007. In addition to providing strategic oversight for company operations, Jim’s diverse experience includes project management, safety, risk management, business transactions, contracts and human resources.
A long-time Associated General Contractors (AGC) Houston board member, Stevenson currently is serving as the 2011/2012 AGC Houston chairman of the board. He is also leading an important Houston industry initiative called the Construction Career Collaborative (C3) for a sustainable craft workforce, and has been doing so since 2009.

Stevenson holds a bachelor of science in building construction from Texas A&M University and a doctor of jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.
