Individuals referred to the ARC centers receive a free assessment for substance abuse, eating and weight management disorders, and are provided with appropriate support, information and referrals for treatment. They also have the opportunity to attend complimentary psycho-education and motivational enhancement groups while they contemplate treatment options and prepare for the next steps on their journeys to recovery.
In May, CRC CEO Andy Eckert said of the new program, “CRC is proud to be able to offer this free service to our local community as part of our mission to deliver clinical excellence to individuals and families in need. Every person struggling with an addiction deserves to receive care and ARC is a truly innovative approach to achieve that goal.”
The New England ARC staff will be targeting their outreach to local emergency rooms, legal/drug courts, universities, employee assistance programs and the Veteran’s Administration. When these organizations have appropriate candidates for ARC, referring is as easy as calling to arrange an assessment.
“By expanding this arm of our company, we are continuing to support those in need with greater access to services,” said Christina Hawkins, Senior Director of Corporate Development for CRC Health. “In addition to making this process as easy as possible, we are looking forward to supporting local nonprofit organizations with their endeavors to reach the most vulnerable populations.”
The New England ARC is located Quincy, Massachusetts and assessments can be arranged by appointment-
