In Uganda, more than 45% of women over the age of 25 have no schooling, and men are more than twice as likely as women to have access to higher education. Ms. JD’s Global Education Fund provides women in developing countries with the opportunity to pursue a legal education through full scholarships. The Cocktail Benefit will celebrate Ms. JD's unwavering commitment to promote women’s education in developing countries and its current Ugandan law student scholars: Joaninne Nanyange, Monica Athieno, Gracious Atuhaire, and Mary Nakale.
Ms. JD is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to the success of women in law school and the legal profession. For more information about the program, please visit Ms. JD’s Global Education Fund program page: http://www.ms-
