Those customers who meet certain criteria can apply for an instant Smart Loan, a credit of USD 0.50 which is added to the main balance and costs USD 0.10 to the subscriber. The service cost is deducted automatically during the next top-up or 30 days after the loan has been provided.

To be capable of obtaining the Smart Loan, a subscriber must satisfy the following conditions: use one of Smart’s pre-paid tariffs, be registered and remain active in Smart’s network for at least 90 days prior to the Smart Loan request, make at least 6 top-ups during the last 6 months and shall not have current debts.
To activate the service, subscribers can send an empty SMS to 911 or dial *911# for requesting a Smart Loan. In order to request the loans history, subscribers can send an empty SMS to 9111 or dial *911*1#.
