Coming Soon to Amazon.com and Other Book Distributors, a New Book About Hollywood Icon, Doris Day

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 10, 2012 - Webmaster Mike DeVita (of www.sampod4u.com) has turned author and written a book about his life-long devotion to Screen, TV and Music Star, Doris Day. This book is different from the other ones written about Ms. Day because DeVita has written it to parallel his own life in an effort to show how Doris Day has had a major  influence on him since he was a child of 8 years old, when he saw her appearing with the Les Brown Band in the mid 1940's..
In the course of the book, the reader learns about all the times in which Mike and Doris  have corresponded throughout  the years and how the two have become friends, even though only meeting one time.
The book is titled "My 'Secret Love' Affair With Doris Day", and the title itself is explained throughout the book. How their careers intertwined throughout the sixy plus years is developed, and the reader also gets some insight into Doris' career, as well, particularly her music and her movies and how they personally affected the author.
As a former teacher of English, Journalism and Theatre Arts, Mike was prompted by former students and friends to try his hand at writing.  They even suggested he write about something dear to his heart, his constant affinity for Doris... and thus the book got its impetus.  It should be available through several online retailers, but especially through Amazon.Com (both in the US and in the UK) by the end of July, 2012.  Mike hopes readers will enjoy the book, and he hopes to send donations to Miss Day's Animal Foundation, whenever any royalties are collected.
