July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Lost in Translations Inc., a cloud based localization company, announced today that it acquired a Chinese online language learning service. The service, “Teach me Language”, has been developed over several years, and the founders saw the opportunity to commercialize the service. “We see vast demand in studying online and learning English, especially in Asia,” states Mika Jordman, Co-founder & CEO of Lost in Translations Inc. “We will launch with Chinese and English first, and more languages will follow soon after” he continues.

With its new language learning service, Lost in translations Inc. will introduce new ways for studying languages. The solution offers tools to study words and sentences, as well as writing and pronunciation using the web service and mobile app. It also supports the teacher-student relationship and has artificial intelligence to introduce a custom learning experience for each student. “You will actually learn, as the service follows your studies and provides you tests and material according to your own progress. It is like a personal teacher that knows you, your strengths as well as your weaknesses. With the mobile app you are also able to take your studies on-the-go” Jordman explains.

The service’s original development team will move to Lost in Translation Inc. and sets up the Beijing development center. “This service fits our strategy to offer tools to operate locally around the world. Our other service, Mr. Locale, is the leading cloud-based service to manage language versions for web services and mobile apps. There are also a lot of technology synergies between the two services, for example, we are going to have a common database for translations for all our services” Jordman opens the company’s future plans.

“Teach me Language” website is now closed and the re-branded beta will be opened under the Lost in Translations Inc. product family within a couple of months.
