PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 10, 2012 - Northampton, MA –  Most people today are asked to improve performance at work with fewer resources and tighter deadlines, all while dealing with equally stressed co-workers and clients. This toxic combination leads to employee burnout and harms organizations. While people may not have control over stressors at work, mindfulness-based exercises are a scientifically proven, natural way to manage one’s responses to them.

Working with Mindfulness includes one hour of guided exercises developed and narrated by Mirabai Bush, co-founder of the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society. Bush, a long-time mindfulness meditation practitioner, teacher and organizational management expert, taught these mindfulness trainings at many fast-paced organizations including Google, Monsanto and Hearst Publications. Participants reported reduced stress, increased productivity, and more creative problem solving. They also felt greater awareness of emotional states in themselves and others.

"Mirabai is a gem,” said Chade-Meng Tan, Jolly Good Fellow of Google and New York Times bestselling author of Search Inside Yourself. “She is wise, compassionate, and deeply experienced in creating a mindful workplace. She was a key player in establishing mindfulness as part of Search Inside Yourself at Google, where it is transforming the workplace."

Working with Mindfulness provides a range of exercises to practice before or after a meeting, when struggling with a difficult project or person, or when feeling distracted or frustrated. The CD and digital download include a brief introduction to mindfulness and practices to:
-   enhance listening skills
-   manage negative emotions
-   flow with change
-   increase focus
-   develop creative problem solving skills
-   better understand peers’ emotional states

The Working with Mindfulness CD will be available July 25 at morethansound.net, iTunes and Amazon. The digital version is available now from More Than Sound: http://www.morethansound.net/store/mindfulness/training-a...
