Dr. Edward Amoroso to Keynote IANS’ Twelfth Annual New England Information Security Forum

July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- IANS, the leading provider of in-depth security insights and decision support services, announced today that Dr. Edward Amoroso, AT&T chief security officer and senior VP, will deliver the keynote address at the upcoming New England Information Security Forum. The Forum will take place Oct. 3-4, 2012 at the Boston Park Plaza hotel in Boston, MA.

Amoroso is responsible for all areas of information security including planning, design, development, implementation, and operations support for AT&T’s extensive global network and communications. His twenty-five plus year career at AT&T began at Bell Laboratories, where he worked on securing the Unix operating system, as well as numerous federal government security initiatives. More recently, he has championed AT&T's network-based security strategy, centered around emerging in-the-cloud protection services such as Internet Protect and DDOS Defense.

Amoroso has authored numerous research papers and books on information security. He is an adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Stevens Institute of Technology and holds both a PhD and a Masters Degree in Computer Science.
