Ontario Companies Brace for Environmental Compliance Deadline

Implementation of Ontario’s Toxics Reduction Act (TRA – O.Reg. 455/09) has been several years in the making. But the Deadline for Phase 1 - Toxic Substance Reduction Plans is December 31, 2012

July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- The December 31, 2012, deadline for developing a Toxic Substance Reduction Plan (TSRP) for Phase 1 “priority” chemicals (See Ontario’s Toxics Reduction Act (O.Reg. 455/09)) is almost here.  And with hefty fines for non-compliance, there may be a sense of urgency for those businesses affected by this requirement.  Further, all TSRPs must be reviewed and certified by a licensed Toxic Substance Reduction Planner.

On June 30, 2012, Mr. Andrew A. Tymec, an environmental engineer at The Dragun Corporation, was awarded his TSRP licence  by the Province of Ontario to prepare and certify Toxic Reduction Plans.

Dr. James Dragun, President of The Dragun Corporation, said, “Our focus since we began in 1988 has not changed; help our clients maintain compliance and help them avoid unnecessary spending.  With Andrew as a licensed planner, this nicely compliments and keeps current our corporate objectives.”

With offices in Windsor and Toronto, Ontario, and Farmington Hills, Michigan, The Dragun Corporation has built an outstanding reputation by using critical, scientific analysis, and business-risk awareness to find innovative solutions to environmental issues.
