Mancini signs five year deal with Manchester; friends of ActivTrades

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 10, 2012 - Roberto Mancini, has signed a new agreement with the Barclays Premier League champions, Manchester City Club, for a five year deal. Mancini, originally from Italy, was rumoured to have been considered a managing position with a Russian team however he began discussions with Barclays towards the end of the last season, and has now committed the next five years of his career to managing the team at Etihad Stadium.

The Manchester City Football club released a statement about the new manager, stating that everyone was very pleased about the signing of the new contract. The deal will continue up until the summer of 2017. The deal was arranged after the club experienced its most successful season in forty years.  Friends of ActivTrades http://www.activ-trades.com/ commented that it was the season’s concluding match in May of this year which cinched the deal, as the team won 3-2 over the club Queens Park Rangers.

Mancini, who had previously served as Inter Milan’s manager, took over as Manchester City’s boss, after Mark Hughes left the position almost two and a half years ago. Having led Inter Milan to success with two Coppa Italia and three Series A titles, Mancini was the natural choice when the opportunity arose to work with Manchester City.

During the first season he managed Manchester City, he helped the team to end their thirty five year trophy-less stint when they won the FA Cup in a match against Stoke city, with a final result of 1-0,  and came third in the Premier League, thus securing Champions League football. ‘This is the closest the team has come to winning a first league title in more than forty years.’ friends of ActivTrades pointed out. Despite the disappointment felt by the Manchester City team and their fans during the European competitions, the success of last season will be remembered for years to come.

Mancini himself has commented on the new deal, expressing his ‘delight’ over the contract. He has stated that he intends to make every possible effort to further improve the Manchester City team over the course of the next five years, and he added that he plans to build on last season’s success, which has afforded the team some incredible opportunities. Mancini has called Manchester City a ‘fantastic’ team, with a wonderful support system of executives, chairmen, owners and of course, fans.

John MacBeathm, who works as the Interim CEO stated that the impressive credentials of the Italian manager are clearly evident, with his success in Europe over the years, as well as last season’s achievements with the FA Cup. Macbeath stated that the match in which Manchester City won the Barclays Premier League title was ‘unforgettable’ and that he was confident in Mancini’s ability to help the team achieve even more in the future.
