From the Ashes of Ground Zero Rises an Incredible Story of Hope

The documentary is the riveting true story of Haskin’s narrow escape from The North Tower of The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, her subsequent battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, homelessness and the faith that gave her the fight to live. With never before seen photos, original music and raw emotional interviews from Haskin and those closest to her, first responders and others who fled the crumbling twin towers; BETWEEN HEAVEN AND GROUND ZERO gives audiences an inside perspective that has never been seen before, engaging them beyond an afterthought and allowing them to connect on a deeper level.

"Reliving what it was like inside those towers, and the horrors and miracles that went along with it is humbling and inspiring… unlike anything I've experienced," says André van Heerden, who wrote and directed the documentary. "Leslie's 9/11 journey is filled with the kind of tragedy that few of us will ever experience, yet incredibly, it becomes a story of miracles and hope that has helped thousands."

But BETWEEN HEAVEN AND GROUND is not just another 9/11 story.

The feature-length documentary is set for release August 28, 2012 nationwide on DVD. BETWEEN HEAVEN AND GROUND ZERO will be distributed domestically on DVD through E1 Entertainment and Cloud Ten Pictures. The documentary will air nationally on public television stations in September (check local listings)

In 2001, Leslie Haskin was an executive for one of the top insurance companies in America. On the morning of September 11th, when a hijacked plane struck the first World Trade Center tower, Haskin was in her office on the 36th floor.
