July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- There were almost 500 product entries and about 80 winners. This was the inaugural group of The Gourmet Retailer Editors’ Picks Awards.  

Award-winning La Campofilone Elite gourmet egg pasta is made from natural ingredients like eggs from free-range hens fed exclusively with non-GMO cereals and non-genetically-modified, high protein durum wheat grown exclusively in the LeMarche region in Italy. Cuts include: Macceroncini, Linguine, Fettuccine, Tagliatelle and Pappardelle, Boxes of dry net weight 8.8oz (250g) , doubles in quantity to serve 4 and has a 2 year shelf-life. Suggested retail price in US $6.95

This is not their first award.  In 2009, La Campofilone was recognized by the Compassion in World Farming Organization with THE GOOD EGG AWARD for using only pastured eggs. The Good Egg Awards were developed by Compassion in World Farming to celebrate the commitment of companies that are setting free millions of hens in advance of the European Union’s 2012 ban on the use of battery cages for laying hens.
