This year though, Doncaster based Atherton Godfrey will be having a double celebration as two of their solicitors have been ranked among the ‘leaders in the field’.
John McQuater, a partner with the firm and winner of the Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year award 2011, was recognised in last year’s edition of the Chambers UK Directory, which ranks solicitors following independent research with peers and clients.
This year John retains his ranking and is joined by colleague Bob Allen, an associate with the firm.
John said:” It is always an honour to have your work recognised and I am delighted that Bob is also ranked this year.”
John and Bob are both members of the Law Society clinical negligence accreditation scheme. Christopher Noble, head of clinical negligence with the firm, is also one of the few solicitors who have been appointed to this specialist panel.
Between them, John and Bob have more than 60 years legal experience and have the backing of a large team, some of whom have a medical background, and handle complex negligence cases both locally and nationally.
Bob said: “There is a growing awareness amongst people that there are occasions where treatment falls below acceptable standards and an increased willingness to seek answers when that happens.”
The Chambers UK 2013 directory showing individual rankings will be published in October this year.
