Sheléa releases "America The Beautiful" single on Breath Of Life Records

Sheléa follows up on her sensational video tribute to Whitney Houston with her new single, a heartfelt take on "America The Beautiful", dedicated to all the brave men and women serving in America's Armed Forces.
July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- It's uncommon to release a single on July 4th, but when the song in question is Sheléa's inspired take on "America the Beautiful," it makes perfect sense. The singer, who recently performed at The White House for President Obama and the First Lady as part of the Gershwin Prize Concert honoring Burt Bacharach and Hal David, wanted to mark Independence Day with a grateful tribute to all those serving in America's Armed Forces. "We owe these men and women so much, and this is my small way of saying thanks to them," said Sheléa.

Sheléa's video tribute to Whitney Houston became a viral internet sensation earlier this year, and Houston's definitive version of "The Star Spangled Banner" influenced Sheléa greatly. "Whitney's 'Star Spangled Banner' touched so many people. It made them feel the song in a way they hadn't before," said Sheléa. "It's impossible to duplicate that, but I hope when people hear my recording of 'America the Beautiful', it stirs the same feelings of pride and gratitude that inspired me to record it."

Sheléa's "America the Beautiful" is available on ITunes, released by Breath of Life Records. Produced by Sheléa and Tony Shepperd. Song arrangement by Sheléa/Justin Wilson. Orchestral arrangement by Raul Ferrando.
