Summer Camp for Kids at Coral Beach Resort - SharjahOffers

July 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The hugely popular Kid's Club at Coral Beach Resort -Sharjah offers a diverse range of activities all year round. And this summer,going off the beaten track, it is organising a summer camp for kids on an 'Eco Adventure and Nature Discovery' theme.

Every Monday during July, the hotel will have an 'environmental hour' hosted by Ronald McDonald between 1.00 and 2.00pm. The hour is part of McDonald's corporate social responsibility programme of giving back to the community.

"Yes, we are certainly committed to children having a fun time during summer - and we promise they will. But they will learn quite a bit about Mother Nature and our environment through the activities planned during that hour. Most importantly, we hope they get to understand the kind of role they can play in protecting the environment just by doing simple things and living a more sustainable lifestyle. If that sense of responsibility dawns on them then it will all be time well spent. As a matter of fact once they get immersed in this it really helps them to become committed to preservation and conservation," says Jean Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager, Coral Hotels & Resorts.

The programme on the three Mondays scheduled in July at Coral Beach Resort - Sharjah is as follows:
Monday 9: Go Active Show
Monday 16: Go, Grow and Glow
Monday 23: Magical World Show

Apart from environmental and sustainability concerns, children will also grow plants and the Magical World Show, the last day of the camp, will feature an Awards Ceremony in which an award will be given to the 'Master Planter' among the kids who grows the healthiest plant during the camp. The camp will end with the children taking a collective 'Coral Kids Pledge' to protect Planet Earth!
