Under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Hamzah Bin Al Hussein The Royal Aero Sports

July 8, 2012 - PRLog -- At a closing ceremony at the Holiday Inn Dead Sea Resort, the Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan (RASCJ) and Skydive Dubai marked the end of Skydive Jordan 2012, and announced the beginning of preparations for Skydive Jordan 2013.

The three week event which took place in Wadi Rum attracted 3000 participants form various countries around the world, including Japan, England, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.  

“We are proud of this year’s success and we are looking forward to continuing the partnership between RASCJ and Skydive Dubai. The introduction of Skydiving is an extension of RASCJ’s activities which include ballooning, micro-light flying and ultra-light flying.  Skydive Jordan has put Jordan on the map for skydivers around the world, and helped promote Jordan as a destination for sports tourism” said Marwan Atalla, General Manager of RASCJ.

Mr. Rami Al-Nabulsi, representing the Skydive Dubai Team, said: “SkyDive Jordan was a success.  Jordan is now a new destination for all skydivers, and we are proud of the outcome and the partnership between SkyDive Dubai (SDD) and the Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan (RASCJ). The SkyDive Dubai (SDD) team would like to dedicate this accomplishment to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai for his utmost support for skydiving and to His Royal Highness Prince Hamzah Bin Al Hussein, President of the Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan (RASCJ) for sponsoring the event, and being there during the event, and for lifting the spirit of the skydivers, which increased the value of the event significantly. We look forward to a lasting partnership, in order to work on SkyDive Jordan 2013.”

As part of their commitment to the community, RASCJ and Skydive Dubai have allocated a portion of the revenues from this event to the King Hussein Foundation, the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, and Al Shajarah Foundation.
Skydive Jordan 2012 was launched earlier this year on Thursday April 19th, 2012 in Wadi Rum with the presence of Jordanian and regional media representatives as well as representatives from Skydive Dubai and the Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan.
