Convergence: Summing Up All Things In Christ
Many people have a heart longing to be involved in ministry. This is a normal feeling for believers. It is what we are called to do. According to Ephesians 4:11-13 we see the ultimate goal of five-fold ministry to be the maturing and perfecting of the body of Christ. Every believer is called to function and minister at full capacity. The Lord’s view is for the fivefold ministry to exist only until the Body of Christ reaches full stature. It is at this time that we will be empowered to operate in the full inheritance of sonship.
The object of Convergence – "GO" Workshops is to assist in starting new believers on the road to gospel intention lifestyles. This is done by teaching leaders and ministers to see God’s relational framework of Spirit led communities that are empowered and expected to rapidly multiply. The first century believers did not “start churches,” but rather went into the culture to bring the reality of Christ living in and among them into context. Churches or Ecclesia’s were multiplied as they were planted through people designated by God as connectors or bridges. The local believers multiplied through these “oikos” or existing social networks. the key strategy used by the Holy Spirit is to not extract people, but rather to kingdomize them in place and bring transformation to their existing third place meeting locations and social dynamics.
A Christ Centered Community is a local group of believers committed to expressing and advancing the Kingdom of God as a unified corporate Man. Jesus Labs assists to develop and strengthen Christ Centered Communities through prayer, mentoring, teaching and networking.
