Follow on Google News | Advertise Yourself & Break A World Record, All For $150WorldRecordAdvertising.com, created in an attempt to break a world record for the largest advertisement on a building, would see merchants given two methods of advertising; online and in NYC.
By: WRAdvertising However, one website has used this "ad space selling" idea and twisted it to break a world record for the largest billboard on a building. World Record Advertising was launched last week. The homepage of http://www.WorldRecordAdvertising.com is filled with 50x50px blocks sold at $150 each, all ready to be purchased by interested advertisers. The advertiser then uploads a banner with their name or logo, which will then be immortalized on the website and contain the advertisers link. The homepage will then be used as a template to create the world record billboard, which will be located in New York City. The idea is that advertisers would not only attract attention as an alternative advertising platform, but will also attract New York & national attention through press leading up to, and following, the creation of the world record billboard. Anyone and everyone is invited to join in the effort to break this world record, and all while increasing traffic and awareness to their website or business. The billboard at the center of this world record attempt, must be at least 205,865.02 ft²; beating the current world record set by Chinese newspaper The Financial Times almost ten years ago. World Record Advertising is not worried of the size, and is confident that no one has ever been so brash as to try and use such an idea to create a billboard, let alone a billboard of this size, and located in Manhattan.
