A ceremony to honor the life of Stephenie Glas will be conducted by Chumash Ceremonial Leader, Mati Waiya, in remembrance of her energy and courage as a firefighter, surfer, and conscientious voice of our community.
The ceremony is scheduled for July 15, 2012 at 9 a.m. and is open to the public.
We encourage the community to gather together at this event in celebration and healing.
Chumash Women will offer a special song that will be followed by a "Surfers Circle at Sea" led by Stephanie's beloved companion, Steve Woods along with his Humaliwu Brothers, Glenn Hening and Ken Seino.
Following the surfer’s circle, there will be a sharing of food and friendship at the Chumash Village. Please feel free to bring a special dish of your choice.
***RSVP is required. Please email your RSVP to realmalibu411@
