Omnix International looking to play major role in Kuwait’s USD 2.5 billion construction industry

July 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Omnix International, a leading distributor of digital software imaging solutions, is looking to play a major role in Kuwait's rapidly growing construction market. According to a recent report from leading business research and intelligence firm Business Monitor International (BMI), the country's construction segment is currently valued at USD 2.5 billion and is also forecasted to grow to USD 3.3 billion by 2016. In line with this, Omnix International throws the spotlight on its new line of powerful design solutions at ‘Autodesk Solutions Day,’ an event aiming to help Kuwaiti users, particularly across the Architecture-Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry, in bringing their designs to reality faster, which was held on (July 5, 2012) at the Marina Hotel (Safir Hotels and Resorts Group) in Kuwait.

The event is the fifth in the ‘Autodesk Solutions Day’ series and is being held to showcase the enhancements in the Autodesk 2013 portfolio, featuring in-depth creation suites and latest design innovations to an audience of 125 participants from key government organizations like the Ministry of Public Works, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Agriculture, Kuwait University and also from key players in the market like KEO, Kharafi National, Badr Al Mulla and Pan Arab Consultants and Engineers (PACE), to name a few. The BMI report further states that the growth across Kuwait’s construction segment can be attributed to new infrastructure projects all over the country like the Kuwait Metro and the Failaka Island project. The vibrancy is also due to the strong support given by the government through its ambitious infrastructure development programs worth over USD 12.6 billion in projects, which include the construction of bridges, airports, government buildings and roads.

Each session during the event is positioned to offer attendees with key insight into new product features and how to best leverage these in unique work environments. Softwares showcased during the event are the AutoCAD 2013 and the AutoCAD Building Design Suite 2013 with focus on Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and Revit MEP 2013.
