Jul. 5, 2012 - Renowned manufacturer Glen Dimplex Home Appliances have much to be pleased about recently, not least of all getting two of their gas range cookers onto the Which Best Buy list, with glowing reviews of the cooking features and oven temperature accuracy. The Belling Classic 100GT and Stoves Richmond 1000GT both share the shame chassis and layout, and as they’re built in the same factory, offer comparable build quality so it comes as no real surprise that they share the award. Although cut from similar cloth, the two models do offer slightly differing specification and appearance, and are available at different price points – the Belling at sub-£1000 and the higher-spec Stoves at around £1350.
Both range cookers performed well and were lauded for “Excellent”
oven performance – fast warm up times and accurate oven temperatures especially. Hobs on both models were equally successful, with fast water heating times and stable and accurate low temperature control. The only area in which the two differed was the grill, with the gas grill offered by the Belling only managing a ‘reasonable’
rating compared to the ‘good’ for the electric grill on the Stoves.
