Asia Plantation Capital Expands Oud and Patchouli Oil Distilleries

July 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Consequently a new company, Asia Plantation Distilleries Ltd has been created which, in addition to the distilleries, will also own and manage the company's boutique retail outlets within the Kingdom. The plantation and distillery operations are currently applying for Board of Investment approval to allow further investment into the company's rapidly expanding Thailand operations.

The recent freehold acquisition of Ajmal Nonham Distillery and Factory, located next to the Khao Yao National Park, is a strategic decision based on the company's Agarwood plantations in the region and the proximity to Bangkok. The factory site (8,000 m2) will also include Thailand's first fragrance school and visitor centre showcasing the uses of Oud and Patchouli Oils in the International Fragrance Industry. Allowing visitors to spend a day learning how to make their own fragrances and meet the company's French perfumer's team who will maintain a permanent research laboratory on the site.

Oils produced by APC are already being used by International Fragrance companies in their creations and will also be integral to a new range being launched by Fragrance Du Bois containing 100% organic and CITES certified Oud and Patchouli Oils, amongst other sustainably sourced ingredients, which are guaranteed by the company to be both 100% pure and from sustainable sources.

Extensive research by APC of Oud Oil production over several years has allowed the company to perfect a method of Oud Oil production which is both consistent and 100% free from DOP (Dioctyl Phthalate), previously a significant problem for rural distilleries and a banned substance for international fragrance production. This research has resulted in a 'patent applied for' on its organic inoculation system, distillation and purification process which is 100% unique to the company. These systems are now being made available to rural farmers and growers across Thailand under license with APC offering a 'buy back' on all oils and woodchips produced, helping secure rural livelihoods' and ensuring the grass roots farmers and growers get the support and benefit from this fast growing modern industry.
