HeartWITNESS Collective Photography Show - Origo Books Gallery

Origo Books Gallery is proud to showcase a selection of photographs by several local visual artists. -- Saturday July 14, 6pm. Downtown Toronto.

July 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Caught between the realms of Art and Science, Photography allows the expression of emotions and ideas through a medium deeply rooted in technology. A photographer, unlike classical visual artists, does not ruminates the reality it perceives but captures it in the Now, right when it is happening. Serendipity then replaces the muses, the Eye surpasses the Visual Brain, and the Photographer duly becomes the first WITNESS.

But being in the right place at the right time is not enough. An untrained Eye which is disconnected from the Heart can easily miss a reflection, a ray of light, a pattern, shine or shadow, thus failing to capture the ever elusive Beauty and leaving the beholder with nothing more than a soul-less reproduction of the material world.

"The Beauty that enters the Eye of the Beholder
always passes through the Heart of the Witness."

This collective photography show will present a selection of works from several local photographers...
