Call for Presentations: IntelliFest 2012 - Developing & Managing “Intelligence in the Cloud”

July 5, 2012 - PRLog -- San Francisco, CA – Organizers announced today that IntelliFest 2012, the International Conference on Reasoning Technologies, will be held in San Diego, CA from October 22-26 2012. IntelliFest is a multi-track conference where software and IT developers, project managers and executives responsible for driving new business development and initiatives can meet to learn about, discuss, and explore the state-of-the-art in reasoning technologies and applied AI to create intelligent products and services.

Reasoning systems include rule engines, constraint solvers and expert systems, and may support applied AI for machine learning, cognition and case-based reasoning. These technologies, increasingly found at the core of cloud-based and “big data” systems, are widely used in business and research for automated decision-making, business rule processing, complex event processing, run-time governance, policy enforcement, rating systems, optimization, scheduling, predictive analytics, intrusion detection, security and integrity, fraud detection, and many other purposes.

Call for Presentations
The Call for Presentations for conference presentations opens today. Conference organizers will give prime consideration to abstracts about:

•   Management Track (IT executives, project managers and managers): business planning, application usage and application development. The organization seeks presentations and workshops that will explain the market application and benefit of machine-based reasoning within business and industry, together with content that describes the practical management of software development that utilizes relevant technologies. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how applied AI and machine-based reasoning can benefit their organizations, deliver better returns on investment, yield cost savings and reduce time-to-market. Day 1 is specifically executive-focused, and Days 2 and 3, practical management.

•   Technical Track (developers, engineers, programmers and architects of applied intelligence): will offer breakout and workshop sessions that provide technical content that explores the evolution of relevant technologies and standards, investigates their impact on business, and describes cutting-edge research.  Also welcome is content that is educational and instructional in nature that will help attendees gain a better grounding in the practical application of today’s mainstream reasoning technologies in general development.
