“The Medical Dosimetry Program is a one year diploma for ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist)
Program participants will receive hands on experience with treatment planning. Upon completion of the college program through Pitt Community College and the clinical education program students will receive a diploma in Medical Dosimetry. Graduates will be able to apply to the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) to sit for a national certification.
The program at Onslow Radiation Oncology is limited to one participant under the mentoring, guidance and supervision of Dr. Blackburn. Dr. Blackburn, a radiation oncologist, serves as a clinical professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at ECU and is also the Director of Radiation Oncology at Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
