The famous "One Thousand and One Nights" fairy tale inspired the artist to create this large scale, ambitious project. The incarnation of the idea is unique, as no one in contemporary art has done this before. The canvas consists of 1000 individual paintings, each depicting an angel. And in the end all these thousand pieces unite together to form a 528 sq. meter, completely unique painting with its own story based on the legendary Oriental tales. This creates a fascinating metamorphosis, like a butterfly emerging from a caterpillar.
The large public spaces available in UNESCO World Heritage cities were chosen as exposition places for the creation. The first city to host this mega painting is Prague, where the project has received the official support of the city administration.
It is the wish of the artist to grant all the money gained from the sponsorship of the “One Thousand and One Painting” project to children with disabilities residing in the cities where the painting is exhibited.
The primary backer of the project is Moscow's Global Festina international agency. The organizer of “One Thousand Angels and One Painting” is Global Event and Construction of Tashkent, Uzbekistan and general partners include Apple Love (Prague, Czech Republic), Deportpublic (Madrid, Spain), and Gusto's srl (Florence, Italy).
