PRLog (Press Release) -
Jul. 3, 2012 - On June 4, 2012, K9 Kenzo selflessly placed himself in harm’s way while tracking an armed murder suspect. K9 Kenzo located the suspect hiding and ready to ambush deputies. K9 Kenzo drew the suspect’s attention away from approaching deputies resulting in him being shot twice by the suspect before depu- ties could return fire, killing the suspect.
K9 Kenzo is recovering from two gunshot wounds and is expected to return to work soon. During the ambush a Sheriff ’s Office Lieutenant sustained a gunshot wound to the left leg. He is currently recovering.
K9 Kenzo is true hero and is recovering well.
After hearing about the deputy involved and K-9 shoot-
ing on June 4, 2012, the president of Hulett Pest Control, Tim Hulett, contacted the Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Foundation requesting to donate a brand new vest to K-9
Kenzo when he returns to active duty.

is greatly appreciated.
