Rocky Smith Ministries Announces Multiple CD Releases

July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Since the announcement in January that Rocky and Gail Smith were forming “Rocky Smith Ministries”, many people around the country have been asking  “When are you going to release some music CD’s, specifically, a studio release?”   That time has now finally come as Rocky, Gail and everyone with Rocky Smith Ministries are pleased to announce the release of their first studio albums – “Faith and Family” and “From Our Hearts”, and boy what a treat everyone is in for!

Almost immediately following the formation of Rocky Smith Ministries many friends, family and fans all began to ask when music, specifically CD’s would be available to purchase – not just because they wanted to help support the ministry but they really love Rocky’s story and musical talents.  So, in order to fulfill that need, Rocky immediately put together a CD called “Just Rocky” from works that he had already recorded on his own years ago.  While the quality of these first recordings weren’t bad at all, they weren’t true Nashville studio quality either and plans were laid to get in the studio as quickly as possible.  

There are actually TWO new studio CD’s being released, Yes two!   For those who prefer Rocky and his more traditional country/bluegrass sound, then “Faith and Family” will for sure be your favorite, however if you prefer a bit more contemporary country sound then the new “From Our Hearts” will be your favorite and Gail is featured more on this CD as well.  Either way you won’t go wrong and both have the makings of being chart toppers and being picked up by a national record label.   First, on the “Faith and Family” CD, you have a potential hit in the often requested remake of “Brotherly Love”, a classic country hit that Rocky re-wrote selected lyrics on after the tragic shootings of his two sons on November 20th, 2011.  He then sang it publicly for the first time at the celebration of life service for all 5 children.   While this song alone is worth the purchase, there are some others that will keep you listening and praising the Lord as well:  “God’s All You Need”, “Be Like Daddy”, “God’s Work Done God’s Way” and “Over the Wall” all were written exclusively by Rocky.  And for those who want to hear Gail sing, there are two songs on the CD that really bring her soothing voice out:  “I Need You More Today” and “Thank You Lord for Your Blessings on Me”.   Gail says of the process “As I stepped into the studio, I was excited, scared and anxious all at the same time. Knowing that God is with us every step of the way comforts me when I sing. I am honored to have such a talented husband and blessed to sing with him.  He inspires me everyday to be the best I can be.  Our desire is to bless and inspire others with our music and our ministry.”   While the CD’s were not recorded in Nashville where so many people think good quality music has to come from, it was recorded in one of the best studios this side of Nashville, New Horizons Recording Studio in Kernersville, NC.  Mitch Hensdale said “Working with Rocky and Gail was an honor.  Rocky is a well versed musician and he played all instruments, on all the tracks. He and Gail sang all the leads and did their own backing vocal tracks too. The goal was to capture the emotional message that Rocky and Gail were hoping to get across to people about the tragedy that happened and how Gods love was and still is helping them get through it. There were times when trying to sing these songs, emotionally overwhelmed all of us. This is a heartfelt performance with no pitch correction or studio trickery.”  

God continues to bless the ministry and has allowed Rocky and Gail to truly share their “Triumph Through Tragedy” story.  Rocky says “I hope the songs on these CD's bless those that hear them as much as they blessed us recording them. God always knows what we need and when we need it.”  God continues to allow the ministry to grow, with Rocky and Gail having sang and spoke at over 40+ events thus far in 2012 including several days worth of singing and speaking in May at the Southern Gospel Music Fan Fair in Pigeon Forge .  Many more dates are being added to their schedule and as these new CD’s began to sell more and be heard, their schedule should certainly fill.  Be sure to follow them on Facebook and their website for wherever they may be singing and speaking next.
