July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- North Lincolnshire police have warned public about the cold telephone callers. Police has told that people should be conscious about the cold telephone calls that talks about refunding of payment protection insurance ( http://www.ppiclaims.uk.com/payment-protection-insurance/ )  premium amount. Actually police is receiving a number of complaints related to such calls. And several other incidences in which people lose their money due to fraud calls.

Several incidences have been reported to North Lincolnshire police in which caller asked to pay some upfront charges at the time of filing claim and to pay another sum of money later. Reports also say that once the call receiver makes payments to respondents then also there is no refund from the lender. Caller also stops making any new call to the person. When victims reported about such incidents to the police then the department tries to trace that calls. But that is easier because most of the calls made are from overseas or doesn’t exist.

However Humberside police has offered some advice for people on this context:

•   Avoid cold callers on their offers
•   Avoid making any upfront payments for any financial service unless a natural face to face meeting with the person who is requesting for payments
•   Police have also advised that any legitimate company would never tell you to make payments to a person. There should always be a company to make payments
•   Other important thing is that Ministry of justice is not going to contact individuals for refunds.
•   Police have also told that it is difficult to make inquiries with company exists at overseas ( http://www.ppiclaims.uk.com/ )
•   People should research about the company before making any payments
•   Most of the fraud internet sites look logistic but you must check privacy policy and terms for its existence.
