International Pop Artist KEANA to Release "Swept Away" EP July 17th

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 1, 2012 - Following 2 years as the youngest, most downloaded US artist in Japan, out-selling and outranking the likes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Justin Bieber, KEANA will release her debut EP on Tuesday July 17, 2012.  "Swept Away" is a collection of (5) fun, catchy, and upbeat original songs to kickoff and jump-start the summer.

London-based music critic Mandy Rogers hails the EP as "zingy, happy pop" reminiscent of (and smidgeon sounding as) Ace of Base amazing.  "It's a candy pop explosion of summer loving, top down on the highway, beach boombox happiness", says Rogers.  

Swept Away is a collaborative work with award-winning top writers including Dimitri Ehrlich (Moby, Kim Wilde); engineered and vocal produced by Anthony Mazza.

When asked about her EP: "These songs are about being young and enjoying the freedom summer brings", says Keana.  "It's about being swept off your feet; laying on the beach, getting a tan, swimming in the ocean; being on a tropical island; maybe swimming with dolphins, and mermaids", she continues.
