Heat Strokes Band spellbind the Jaipur audience

Jaipur : Heat strokes band of Jaipur performed live in Jaipur on Monday, June 25, 2012 with the message to save girl child through their music performances.

Heat Strokes band of 4 includes – Gaurav Bhatt (Composer, Guitarist), Ankit Bhatt (Sitarist), Shikha Bhatt and Geetika Bhatt (Vocalist). They believe it’s everyone’s duty to contribute towards the society in some way or the other and music is our way to do so”. Heat strokes performed live for the cause of "save girl child". Gaurav said, "We have composed a few songs on the girl child. One of the songs is penned down such that it comes from the heart of the girl child, who is still in her mother’s womb, singing about her sweet little dreams, unsure that she will be born or not”. The lines of the song are "kabhi mujhko milega aisa jahan, jaha babul milega, mile pyari maa, jaha mujhko milega khula aasma"

About "Heat Strokes" band

Interestingly all of these four musicians who come from the same family are engaged in different professions. The guitarist, composer and vocalist Gaurav Bhatt is a software professional. Shikha and Geetika are vocalists are an Architect and a teacher, respectively, and , Ankit who is a brilliant sitarist is a lecturer. All the members have had a proper training in music since their childhood. This Band performs fusion compositions on Classical-Folk-Western Music composed by Gaurav Bhatt.

Explaining the title of the band, “First thing that comes in the mind of people about Rajasthan is the heat and most of our instruments are string instruments, so we decided on the name Heat Strokes.” Apart from the four members, there were also other musicians on drums, dholak, tabla and violin.
