The Real Deal About The New BCS Format!

The new playoff format that was recently adopted brings with it a set of issues that have not been addressed!  What about the money?  With this new format, it can be expected that billions of dollars will be generated that will be shared by the NCAA and the conferences.  My question is:  What about the players?  I know the standard answer is: they have their scholarships to be thankful for, but let's take a closer look.

These guys that we cheer for on Saturday afternoons can't even get a job during the season to generate extra funds for their own needs.  Sure they get stipends to pay rent and utilities if they live off campus, but how does this compare with the regular students that we all see playing in the quad in the afternoon?  These guys are special!  Because of their talents, they generate millions of dollars for the universities and bring substantial recognition to the schools or universities that is recognized in the admissions department as well.

Whenever a football team has a great season, admission applications increase.  One can say that it's part of the deal that they signed on the dotted line for,  but I dare say that those were the old days!  Times have changed big time!  If I gave an athlete a ride to the mall, they could possibly be in trouble with the NCAA because that is a rules violation.
The point that I am trying to make is how long can we continue to look the other way while the NCAA and others continue to generate billions of dollars on the backs of others?  Also, take a look at what happens to those individuals that don't have a future in pro football after their eligibility is up.  It's so long and thank you for your four years!
Let's be real!  All of this hype is about the money that will be made!
