Park Lawn launches “Text to Give” mobile giving program

June 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Nonprofit organization Park Lawn has recently launched a new “Text to Give” mobile giving campaign to benefit the programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities.  An example of a program that will benefit from these donations is music therapy at Park Lawn and a video about it can be seen at http://youtu.be/_FRh2IumTAY.  
   
The program allows donors to make a $5 donation using their mobile phones through Give by Cell, an approved mobile giving technology provider.  You can make a gift donation to Park Lawn by texting the phrase GIVEPL to the number 20222.  Donors can give multiple times a month depending on your carrier, up to six months.  Donations are tax deductible and pledges are billed through your monthly cell phone bill.  

In order to make a donation, supporters should click on the cell phone text message area and compose a new message and in the “to” field, type 20222.  In the field with a message similar to “Enter message here” type GIVEPL and click send.  

Users must be age 18 or older or have parental permission to participate.  By texting YES, the user agrees to the terms and conditions.  All charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider.  Service is available on most carriers.  Donations are collected for the benefit of Park Lawn by the Mobile Giving Foundation and subject to the terms found at www.hmgf.org/t.  Message and data rates may apply.  You can unsubscribe at anytime by texting the phrase STOP to short code 20222 or text HELP for more information.  Mobile Giving’s privacy policy can be found at http://mobilegiving.org/privacy/Default.aspx.
