Quad Cities waste company contributes trash collection services this 4th of July

June 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Rock Island, IL – Quad Cities waste and recycling company Millennium Waste has a history of helping out in the local community, and this summer is no exception. This Independence Day they will be contributing trash collection services to the Bettendorf 4th of July Festival.

“This is always a fun event, and we are happy to have a part in it,” said Dominic Remmes, District Manager of Millennium Waste Incorporated “In years past we have contributed our trash services to numerous community events because we understand the importance of giving back and doing our part to help our friends and neighbors.”

The Bettendorf 4th of July Festival is an all day event, culminating with the largest fireworks displays in the Quad Cities. There will be live music and many activities throughout the day, beginning at 11:00 am. Admission is free, however there is a fee for the petting zoo and amusement rides. The fireworks will begin shortly after sundown with viewing from the Middle school field (accessible from Cumberland Square), the Bettendorf Lagoon and Middle Park. The Bettendorf fireworks attract many spectators so plan accordingly for traffic and be sure to bring your lawn chairs.

The Millennium Waste and recycling company also supports a variety of community events and organizations throughout the year, including the Quad City Marathon, Bix 7, Greek Fest, Cinco de Mayo Festival, and Extreme Clean-up.
