FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 28, 2012 - Northbrook, IL – F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems has been awarded several high-risk, high-value facility projects since the start of the year, furthering their depth of knowledge and experience.  The projects include design, shop fabrication, and installation of complete fire protection solutions.  Their emphasis on safety and timely turnover has proven to be the equation for long term financial savings for power, energy, and heavy industry facilities.  Their first six months of 2012 project awards include:

•   DC Cook Nuclear Plant - Bridgman, MI
•   Duke Energy - East Bend, KY
•   Genesis Solar LLC, Blythe, CA
•   Lake Road Generating Station, St. Joseph, MO
•   Natrium Plant, Richmond, VA
•   Navajo Generating Station - Navajo Indian Reservation near Page, AZ
•   Sutton Combined-Cycle Natural Gas-Fired Power Plant, Wilmington, NC

Among the numerous projects F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems has been awarded throughout 2012 is the BP-Whiting Refinery Modernization project in Whiting, IN.  This $3.8 billion, 4+ year project has over 10,000 trades people working to complete the largest private investment in Indiana history.  With nearly 20 million man hours estimated by the finish of this project, it is one of the largest projects ever done under a National Maintenance Agreement.  F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems utilized their sophisticated AutoCad 3-D modeling software design to route the fire suppression systems, and employed highly skilled union craftsman to install the deluge piping.  Mr. James Bouche, Project Manager for the BP project said, “Moran’s field crew felt right at home in one of the most challenging, logistically intense projects in the country.”  To facilitate construction, F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems employed a modularized approach.  They fabricated multiple deluge valve enclosures, including pre-piped deluge valve headers in Galveston, TX and floated the completed enclosures by barge to the Whiting site.

F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems has been providing fire protection solutions for the high-risk, high-value industry for over three decades.  They employ 3-D capable AutoCad design, one point of contact project managers, pre-fabrication, and safe installation to provide smooth service for projects from beginning to end.  Once projects are complete, F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems offers the assurance of upkeep with inspection, testing, and maintenance services.  With over thirty years of experience, F.E. Moran Special Hazard Systems has the expertise to provide paramount fire protection solutions while protecting people, plant, and production.
