Pupils at King Edward’s Pre-Prep & Nursery gave a magical performance of Tattybogle, the Musical, on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th June.
Tattybogle is a delightful story written by Sandra Horn, which has been turned into a Musical. The story is about a scarecrow who enjoys dancing with the wind, listening to the rain, and making friends with all the birds and animals who live in the countryside around him. One windy Autumn day Tattybogle is blown to pieces and all that is left is a stick in the ground. Then, over the Winter, something amazing happens, the stick grows roots and Tattybogle turns into a wonderful tree.
The whole School from Nursery to Year 2 took part in this year’s Summer Production.
Jayne Gilbert, Head of King Edward’s Pre-Prep and Nursery, said: “Tattybogle has been a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn about the changing seasons and about all the creatures who live in the countryside. The musical has involved all the children and they have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the process of acting, singing and set design.”
Many thanks go to; Mr Stuart Boydell for directing, Mrs Mary Edward’s, Director of Music at King Edward’s Junior School, who provided musical support and to all the staff for their help in staging the production.
