“We’re very appreciative of the generosity of our community whose ongoing support is fundamental to what we do,” said Teri Devine, Kemptville Youth Centre Board President. “It was both amazing – and humbling – to receive their overwhelming support.”
Sponsored by residential developer Kemptville Meadows, the breakfast was held at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville, Ontario, and attended by local dignitaries including Mayor Doug Struthers of Merrickville-
“We’re extremely proud to lend our support to such a great community that has so much heart and is doing great things for the youth who live in and around this area,” said Kemptville Meadows Project Manager Fred Heller. “This is just the start. We are looking forward to lending more of our support to the centre in the future.”
The funds raised by the breakfast – which were matched by the Kemptville Scotiabank and included ticket sales, table sponsorships and donations – will help to meet the centre’s annual fundraising target. Support programs and services offered by the Kemptville Youth Centre include homework assistance, a Sports Night to encourage recreational activity, a Girls Night designed to empower young women, cooking, skating and swimming, among others. The overall mission of the centre is to engage youth in making positive life choices and reaching their full potential.
